Alterkix

Alterkix is a music artist from Belgium, her real name is Sabine Vermeylen. Alterkix is a one woman project, hooray to girl power!

Alterkix brings you instrumental atmospheric electronic music, often with an experimental and dark twist. Although the twist can sometimes also lead you into more hopeful, light, bright and cinematic atmospheres. 

All music is composed and played entirely on analog synths, a hands-on way of working. This explains the rich synth textures and warm sound of her recordings!

Regularly Alterkix enjoys collaborating with other electronic music artists because when two musical worlds meet, exciting things happen!  She already released collabs with these artists from around the globe: Silvr Sage, RA Major, NeuPat, Geert Bekaert, Quick on the drawing, OM BooyakaMix and Delysid Dharma.

Alterkix was founded when Sabine, who is originally a bass player, decided to buy a small synth to learn to play synth bass on famous songs.  She did a deep dive into the synth world and hey Alterkix was born.  Because she found out that creating your own original music is more fun than playing covers.  So that's how her love for playing synths began but since her early teens she's always been a huge fan of electronic music.
